Our Administration
At Laurel Heights Weekday School, the Administrative Staff and School Board work together in order to set policies. Our goal is to always do what is best for children. Together, we strive to create a safe and nurturing environment. Our school is a place where your child can grow, learn to appreciate cultural diversity, and learn about God’s love. Your child and family are of the utmost importance to each one of us and we are excited to help bridge the gap between your family and the classroom. We take pride in serving you, while continually modeling respect and integrity. We hope to form a partnership between our administrators, your child’s teachers, and your family, in order to help your child be successful at Laurel Heights Weekday School.
Meet the Team
Laurie Miracle
Executive Director
My name is Laurie Miracle and I am the Director of the Laurel Heights Weekday School.
I have been affiliated with this wonderful school for several years as I have been providing staff training and parent seminars. I consider it a great privilege to be a part of the Laurel Heights Weekday School team. I received my bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences from Texas Tech University. I have worked as an Early Childhood Interventionist in the Lubbock area, as a special education classroom teacher in the Coppell Independent School District and also homeschooled my own three children for eight years. I spent ten years as a PPCD (preschool program for children with disabilities) teacher in the Alamo Heights School District, where I also started the Mini Mule program (a district daycare/preschool program for employee’s children). I have been providing staff development and coaching for several San Antonio pre-schools for the last three years.
My husband, David, and I have three grown daughters, three son-in-laws, three grand-daughters, five grandsons. When I am not at the school my husband and I enjoy buying and fixing up houses.
As Director it is my desire to continue the LHWS tradition of excellence while assessing areas where we can grow as a school as we seek to provide the best care and education for our students and families. Feel free to call or come by my office anytime. I love hearing from our families.
Cassi Fredrickson
Assistant Director
My name is Cassi Fredrickson and I am the Assistant Director of the Laurel Heights Weekday School.
I am part of an amazing team that provides early education for young children, and a social and emotional foundation that children can build on to have the best start, and to be who they are called to be. My husband served 23 years in the United States Air Force, and in that time of service I managed a licensed Air Force Family Daycare Program, worked in the public school system in the Special Education department, Head Start, and two other accredited programs. I have an Associates of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education, my Director’s Credential, a Level 2 Certificate in ECD, and a Child Development Associates Credential. I was the Norma Zeigler award recipient in my graduating class, and I am a member of NAEYC, and TXAEYC.
I am passionate about learning and creating a love for learning for children, and adults respectively! It is an honor and great privilege to serve the children, families, and colleagues, of Laurel Heights Weekday School.
My husband and I have three daughters, two son-in-laws, two grandsons and two granddaughters who are the joy of our lives.
As the Assistant Director for Laurel Heights Weekday School I desire to support the wonderful team of educators and families that make-up the community of Laurel Heights Weekday School.
